This piece is a four-sided mosaic lamp: one panel shows me as a girl with a lunar moth (how I visualize my Chinese name: Precious Jade), ringed by California poppies; another a dragon for my parents' zodiacs; the two sides are quilted grids of star-motif tiles. Every shape was laser-cut from colored acrylic and puzzled together by hand over kozo paper and wire.
